2024 IDIDIT Car Show & Open House

IDIDIT's Annual Car Show & Open House Set for Saturday August 24th, 2024

 

TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN: Come and join us on August 24th for the IDIDIT Car Show and Open House 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, day-of registration runs from 8:00 am - 11:00 am.

The annual event is being held on IDIDIT's campus in Tecumseh, MI. The daylong event includes a car show, facility tours, a vendor tent, food trucks, and a live DJ. The Tecumseh Rotary Club will be serving the pancake breakfast and Musgrove Company will be here serving coffee and other beverages. There will local food trucks available to serve lunch. NSRA will be providing free safety inspections and also having an appreciation day for their memebers.

Our Car Show is open to any show-worthy vehicle regardless of year, make, or model, the popular gathering celebrates car culture in all its forms, offering a family atmosphere in which to enjoy classic vehicles of yesterday and today. If you choose not to pre-register, registration on the day of the show opens at 8:00 am and closes at 11:00. Judging of the classes will begin at noon, and winners will be announced at 2:00. As always, registration is free but we ask that each participant bring in canned goods/non-perishable food items that will be given to local charity, last year we were able to take a truckload of food donations local food bank.

There are nine categories that the car show contestants will compete for a trophy in. The trophies awareded at this show are one-of-a-kind, made in-house by IDIDIT craftspeople. The class categories are as follows:

• 1939-Older
• 1940-49
• 1950-59
• 1960-69
• 1970-79
• 1980-89
• 1990-Newer
• All entries will be considered for the Founder's Choice and Kid's Choice awards

IDIDIT's open house tradition was started three decades ago as a way for the steering column maker to thank customers and for car enthusiasts to have one last hurrah before having to park their hot rods for the winter. The first show was a great success and has been growing in popularity ever since with over 420 vehicles on display at our show 2023! We are very excited to be able to get back to this yearly tradition. Every year we see an increase in attendance and it is our hope that this year is no exception.
